Tennis anyone?

I started to name this blog- How Tennis Changed My Life, but decided it was too soon to tell if my life is really different. However, I did bring the game of tennis back into my life recently and these are the things I love about it:

  • I get a great work-out without being bored or discouraged
  • It is great time with my husband
  • I can play anytime
  • It counteracts my insulin resistance (diabetes)
  • It makes me less hungry
  • It makes me more thirsty for water
  • I can work out alot of frustration by hitting the ball really hard
  • Tennis has cute outfits
  • Keeps the skin brown
  • I sleep better because I am so tired
  • I can play it alone or with someone or with a group of someones
  • My husband is a really good player and coaches me well

I'll know if it's really changed my life when it gets cooler outside, the fall schedule gets hectic and the daylight is shorter. If I am still playing under those conditions then we'll know that tennis has changed my life.

"Tennis has cute outfits" :)

In college, we used to hit tennis balls around the courts, though I'm not sure you could call it "playing tennis." We had so much fun! One time, when we went out to the courts and realized it was too windy, we decided to take advantage of our "working out clothes," and we did "aerobics" on the courts. We definitely invented some signature moves and laughed enough to burn a few calories.

I definitely have good tennis memories! At least Riverside never really sees winter, so your tennis season is extra long.

I just remembered that you're not in Riverside. You know what I meant :)

good post… tennis defiantly has the potential to change your life. you should post your updated tennis status in a few months.

ps: i think my mom golf’s for the cute outfits. this seems to be a common thing.
