Six Godless Beliefs

• I must have immediate fulfillment of my needs
• I must avoid uncomfortable situations
• I must be treated fairly
• I must always get things to turn out right
• I must have approval at all times
• I must be outstanding at whatever I do or I won't do it

Fear

I am really afraid of something right now. It's very personal, very close to me, and very hard to put to words. I am reminded of a quote in my handmade quote collecting journal.

"We turn to God for help when our foundations are shaking only to learn that it is God shaking them." - Charles West.

• the steam room after I work out
• the smell of fresh cut grass
• oldies on the radio
• curled up with God at the end of the couch
  
• foam on my cappaccino
• cleaning with bleach
• in the big chair with my daughter
• date night with my hubby of 22 years
• my daughter's marked up widely used Bible
• the voice of my son
• the sounds he makes on his acoustic guitar
• road trip with Hot Tamales
• the smell of my husband's shaving cream in the morning
• holding a newborn baby
• Sunday afternoon naps
• the sound of male voices singing to God
