Life Changing Books Survey

I am taking an unofficial survey. I would like to know the title and author of the most important book you have ever read. Give it to me..come on now..even you non-readers have read an important book! Tell me in 10 words or less how it proved to be important in your life...

Hmmm...the first one that came to mind was a parenting book on strong-willed children. It totally changed the way we approached our stubborn son. The results were amazing. Life with him today is totally different than it would've been if I had NOT read that book! That's not 10 words or less...and I should've picked something spiritual...but oh well!
Book: You Can't Make Me (But I Can Be Persuaded) by Cynthia Tobias (You probably remember me reading it! Ha!)

"Let Me Be a Woman" by Elisabeth Elliot. I read this at the age of 25. It began my seeking of who God intended me to be...a woman of God.

Bean Trees by Kingsolver taught me that I need other people.

The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. A good look at selflessness and even "non readers" like myself can read it in no time.

Kristen Lavrensdatter- obedience is what is required of us! Every woman should read this book! My hubby recently read The Grand Weaver by Ravi Zacharias and loved it.

The Barbarian Way by Erwin McManus. It taught me to look at things through a different lenses and to live and love in a reckless way.
